Open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, seven days a week

Except closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Day and Easter Sunday

Inclement weather can also lead to temporary closures. Call our phone line if you hear of severe weather problems.

Location:

Head-Smashed-In is located 18 kms north & west of Fort Macleod on Highway 785.

Directions from Calgary
Head south of city limits on Macleod Trail or Deerfoot Trail and continue south on Hwy 2 for approximately 160 km until you see the signs for Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump and Highway 785 West. The turnoff for Hwy 785 West is approximately 1 km north of the major intersection with Hwy 3. If you cross the Old Man River you have missed the turnoff and gone too far south!
