Gathering Basin
- the Olsen Creek Basin served as the "staging area," where the buffalo herds were gathered and gradually lured and driven toward the cliff.

Drive Lanes
- a network of stone cairns extends 8 km toward the jump. These were used to direct the herd toward the kill site.

Kill Site
- consists of an exposed escarpment, about 10 m high and 100 m in length. Below the cliff bones from many hunts are deposited almost 10 m deep.
